Cape Town Food Markets Experience

Experience a typical Market Day at the Oranjezicht City Farm Market, where small local farmers and artisanal food producers link urban farming with Cape Town’s history & heritage, using seasonal produce. Mingle with locals whilst they do their weekly food shopping (vegetables, fruit, bread, honey) and try out some delicious cooked and raw foods (for own account). Continue to the Neighbourgoods Market at the Old Biscuit Mill. Enjoy delicious eats & treats (for own account) and the opportunity to browse through local fashions, arts and crafts. Your expert guide will be on hand to assist with insider tips on the local farmers and the produce that they sell.

African Dinner & Drumming Experience

Join a fun filled evening of interactive entertainment and delectable food at Gold restaurant. Sample a set Cape Malay / African style menu which is served at the table in sharing and individual portions. The evening starts off with an interactive djembe drumming session followed by a traditional soothing hand washing ceremony. A professional djembe drum instructor will teach you how to play the basic rhythms of the djembe drum. Live entertainment during dinner includes a Mali puppet show which involves story telling with singers, dancers, puppets and musicians. The final performance is by the waiters and kitchen staff who will entertain you with some local song and dances.

Marine Big 5 Safari Experience

Join us for a marine safari where you may see great white sharks, whales, Cape fur seals and a variety of seabirds. On a 2-hour cruise from Gansbaai, Marine Biologists will be on hand to explain more about the amazing animals that visit our shores. Every year from June to December, the Southern right whales arrive to mate and calve. We may also see Bride’s whales, Humpback whales, the elusive Humpback dolphin and Common dolphin, as we cruise down the famous Shark Alley.

Mount Nelson Afternoon Tea Experience

The Mount Nelson Hotel is a notable hallmark of luxury and indulgence. The world-renowned afternoon tea buffet is set in the elegant lounge overlooking the manicured garden. Enjoy the sumptuous selection of chocolate éclairs and petit-fours, mini cakes and classic carrot, chocolate and cheesecakes, savoury sandwiches and empanadas, scones and succulent fresh fruits. With over thirty loose leaf teas to try, from Rooibos and Lapsang Souchong, to Earl Grey and Darjeeling, you are bound to discover your favourite one.

Chauffeured Sidecar Whale Route Experience

Enjoy the stunning marine and mountain scenery of the False Bay coastline from the seat of a chauffeured motorbike sidecar. Drive through the picturesque seaside villages of Gordons Bay, Pringle Bay and Bettys Bay. There are abundant photo opportunities around every bend of the road and whales may be spotted during calving season (July – November). Visit the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, located between mountain and sea, in the heart of the Cape Fynbos region. Watch the endangered African Penguin Colony at Stony Point, before sitting down for lunch at a small, yet vibrant restaurant. Return to Cape Town via a visit to either a local craft brewery offering a wide range of exceptional beers or a wine estate, steeped in tradition and recognized for producing world-class wines.

Full Day Aquila Safari

After a mid-morning departure, we head up the N1 Highway, through the spectacular Hex River Valley and arrive at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. The bio-diverse habitat of the reserve ensures plenty of interest for the avid game viewer and birder. Giraffe, Blesbok, Black and Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Springbok, Gemsbok Klipspringers, Duiker, Grey buck, Steenbok, Ostriches, Baboons Caracal, Foxes, Jackal, Leopard and 172 species of birds, including the Black Eagle are found on the reserve. An experienced Game Ranger will take you on a Game Drive. Lunch is enjoyed at the Lodge.

Full Day Hermanus Tour

This circular tour takes you over a mountain pass to the seaside town of Hermanus. This town, nestled between mountains and the sea is not only very beautiful but offers some of the best shore based whale watching opportunities in the world (August – November). Close sightings of the Southern Right whale are likely. Our journey continues into the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley (Heaven and Earth) to the Bouchard Finlayson Wine Estate where we are treated to tasting some of their delicious wines. This wine estate is closed on Sundays, but a visit to the Stoney Point Penguin Colony will be included instead, to have a look at a unique colony of African penguins (time permitting) before returning to Cape Town in the afternoon.

Full Day Winelands Tour

While South Africa's fertile valleys are world famous for their crisp white and classic French-style red wines, the area is also a treasury of rustic beauty and sprawling estates shaded by giant oak trees. Our drive today will include the country's principal wine routes of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, with a stop en route for lunch (for own account).
